The benefit of Virtual Reality Social Skills Training is that it gives educators an additional way to engage students. It offers the potential for faster progress by allowing the training to be focused and effective. This computer technology rapidly engages students and holds their attention for active participation while overcoming attentional challenges during the training. An assessment before and after training is administered to evaluate each child's progress in the program. Parent training is also included in the program to develop generalization of taught skills. |

This is a fun, but eye-opening experience that can help anyone working with children and adults with attention or learning problems to better understand and help remove or at least diminish the frustration they feel. Most parents, spouses, and professionals are educated about these disorders. But what is it like to actually HAVE the condition...to live each and every day fighting to focus your attention on what is happening in the school or work day? That's the critical piece that training generally lacks. You will experience firsthand what it is like by participating in the attention simulation activities.

Children with attention and learning problems often experience difficulty with making friends and being accepted by their peers. Children need daily social prompts and reinforcement in a natural environment before they can generalize to other settings independently. The good news is these skills can be learned! This workshop will teach you to "coach" your child during the interactions towards social success!

Study Skills "Edutainment" Program

Our study skills program is for children with attention and learning difficulties. It is designed to keep students highly engaged, focused, and entertained. We take the approach of "edutainment". Education is the motivation behind what we do, but we also believe that you can entertain at the same time and learn. Students identify with characters who they seem to be the most like when it comes to school. It is a soft way for students to admit their struggle areas and to overcome learning challenges. The bottom line for us is that "smart people are cool" and we want to make our students as smart as possible!

Self worth, motivation, organization, note taking, memory techniques, self management, concentration, procrastination elimination, time management, goal setting, task management, reading strategies, vocabulary, test taking secrets, learning styles, and more.
